Khatia Dekanoidze is International Consultant at United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Adjunct Professor at George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. She worked for various government agencies in both Georgia and Ukraine and contributed to the transformation of criminal justice system and education system in both countries.

Prior to joining the UNDP, she served as the first female Chief of National Police of Ukraine where she launched a comprehensive reform and created a modern police force for the country. Earlier in her career, she served as Minister of Education and Science of Georgia where she developed the state policy for general and higher education and ere that, as Director of National Policy Academy in Georgia where she oversaw the basic and professional training of police officers.

Khatia graduated with a diploma with honors in International Relations from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.  

Her research as an AsiaGlobal Fellow will look at the main accomplishments of Singapore and Hong Kong in the context of their transformation into the regional hub economies in Asia.
